Year 3

The Year 3 team consists of three teachers :

  • Mrs Lewis
  • Miss Sivarajah
  • Miss Hunter

They are well-supported by Mrs Gardner, Mrs Shortland, Ms Richards and Mrs Warr. Mr Oliver leads the Lower Key Stage 2 Team.

As we are a junior school, the Year 3 team endeavour to bridge the transition between key stages and schools smoothly in the autumn term by introducing the children to new structures for their learning, and building on the vital skills and knowledge gained in Key Stage 1. The team places much emphasis on the children becoming independent and self-motivated learners with a strong growth mindset in order to lay the foundations needed for the rest of their time at SEJ.
