My name is Mrs Carey, and I will be based in Dahl class, Year 4 this year. This will be my fourth year teaching at SEJS, and I am super excited to be in Year 4 again! I love SEJS’s inspiring ethos, environment and commitment to raising attainment for each individual child in all areas.

I am most passionate about motivating children to believe in themselves and take ownership for their learning. I aim to achieve this by creating a positive, engaging learning environment in which children are happy to learn and want to push themselves. I love teaching all subjects but particularly enjoy maths, PSHE and reading.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling, and listening to music. I also enjoy rock climbing, yoga and reading; I always have a book (or three) on the go.
