My name is Mrs Carey and this year I will be based in Engelbart Class in Year 5. This will be my third year as a class teacher here, and I am really excited for the new challenge that it will bring. I love the school’s inspiring ethos, environment and commitment to raising attainment for each child in all areas.

I am passionate about inspiring all children to believe in themselves and take ownership of their learning. I aim to help them achieve this by creating a positive, engaging learning environment in which the children are happy to learn and want to push themselves. I love teaching all subjects but particularly enjoy English, maths and history.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling to new places and listening to music. I also enjoy rock climbing and yoga. I love learning new things, so I always have a book on the go which is often about health or cooking.
